Episode 39 - Elizabeth I of England: the Virgin Queen
This week, we kick off our two part series entitled, “The Battle of the Queens” with the story of Elizabeth I. She was the daughter of Henry VIII and had many obstacles to overcome during her 45 year claim on the throne. Known as the “Virgin Queen”, her reign was one filled with triumph, the heart of a lion cub, beefing with her cousin Mary and lots of Bob Dudley. The end of her story officially ended the Tudor line (and technically widowed her boo- the country of England).
